ITINERARY

Day 1
DEPART TO BAGAMOYO

Meet your driver guide in Dar es Salaam and transfer to Bagamoyo Stone Town. First, you will visit Kaole Ruins, ruins of the Shirazi trade town, 13th-17th century). Lunch own account at the restaurant near Kaole Ruins. Check in at Traveler’s Lodge for dinner and overnight

Kaole ruins tour (1-3 hours)
Kaole village formally known as ‘Pumbuji’ is one of the oldest villages that immigrants from Arabic countries choose as they landed on East Africa’s coast. The village has ruins dating back to 13th Century. It is in this village where Sultan of Oman preferred to settle and construct administrative and military headquarters. Today the ruins made-up of earth and corals and the Kaole Museum tells volumes of stories about Ivory trade, movement of traders, cruel slavery and the living culture of today’s Kaole people majority originating from Asia. Beyond the ruins, there is an old port surrounded by a Mangrove forest where one can go closer to nature and enjoy fresh air.

A tour continue with visiting old buildings of the previous generation, beautiful Arab architecture with thick walls of Earth fitted with well-carved doors made of thick African hardwood. On your walk through narrow streets between Old buildings of Bagamoyo stone town you will visit the German Colonial Administrative block, Art market, Old post office, 1st Tanzania Primary School, Old Mosques, Hanging tower, Caravan Serai Museum and the fish market. On your walk along the Indian Ocean beach visit a centre for dhow sailboat building and get to know how local people builds boats.

Day 2 and 3
DAS AT LEISURE IN BAGAMOYO

Days at leisure at the Beach and walk in Bagamoyo Stone Town. Lunch own account at the restaurant, dinner and overnight at Travel’s Lodge.

Day 4
DEPART TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK ND AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE

After breakfast, depart to Mikumi National Park, hot lunch at Morogoro town, evening game drive, exploring the wildlife and ecological nature. Check in for dinner and overnight at Tanswiss Lodge

The Tan-Swiss Lodge is located on the main Morogoro – Iringa road just 2 km west of Mikumi National Park. It offers affordable comfortable accommodation with king-sized beds and en-suite facilities, all with private terraces. The restaurant with its colorful murals serves a wide variety of delicious meals to suit all tastes. The hotel is set in pleasant gardens. It has a charm all of its own and the owner is a very welcoming host.

Day 5
GAME DRIVE IN MIKUMI

After breakfast, depart for a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park with picnic lunches enjoying full exploration in the wild. Return for dinner and overnight at Tan Swiss Lodge on full board basis.

Mikumi National Park, is one of the amazing wildlife adventure spot situated on the southern Circuit of Tanzania with full of abundance wild animals, birds and ecology. A great ideal for a short safari that can easily combined with other. Destinations such Udzungwa, Ruaha or Selous.

Day 6
DROP OFF AT LUSHOTO

After breakfast, depart to Lushoto for drop off (this is special for those travellers who has mission in Lushoto (Mlalo) , drop off at your hotel or stay. In Lushoto own arrangement for your projects.

Day 10
PICK UP FROM LUSHOTO BACK TO DAR FOR YOUR DEPARTURE TO ZANZIBAR

Our driver will pick you up from Lushoto or Mlalo or Mtae back to Dar Port to connect speed Boat to Zanzibar at 17:00. Check in at Garden Lodge on Bed and breakfast basis

Day 11
LEISURE AT THE ISLAND

You can choose to relax or go on a various tour (this you can confirm by communicating when you are there and we can organize and coordinate for you in time). Meals own arrangement. Return to Garden Lodge for overnight

Stone Town Tour:

It’s an amazing historical tours in Colonial old Stone town takes around 2 to 3hrs, starting with Forodhani garden where daily dining market crowded by tones of tourist from all around the world, House wonder, Old fort, House of Fredy Mercury famous musician, site of a cathedral built in 1874, Africa House, Tip tip house, the former British Club, visit to Zanzibar's colourful market, alive with the buzz of locals bartering fresh vegetables and baskets of tropical fruit, amongst the heady aroma of herbs and spices. You will have a wonderful moment of taking some nice photos in various spot. Your tour ends with a stroll through the narrow streets of Stone Town. 

Prison island Tour

Catch the boat to Prison island. The island offers a stunning view of the Town especially during the night; there is very beautiful minor sandy beach where swimming on the crystal waters is marvelous. The coral reefs surrounding the island provide an opportunity of snorkeling. This is also a home of the giant tortoise, which is now under strict conservation. A short-guided tour around the island will provide the real picture.

Day 12,13,14
DAYS AT THE BEACH MICHAMVI

Days at leisure in Michamvi (Activities own arrangement). Overnight at Pearl Beach by Sansi, Michamvi base on Bed and Breakfast

Day 15
DEPART BACK HOME

Day at leisure at the Beach, late transfer to the airport for your flight  back home.
