8Days adventure in Mikumi/Ruaha/Iringa/Morogoro

After breakfast, depart to Mikumi National Park, hot lunch at Morogoro town, evening game drive, exploring the wildlife and ecological nature. Check in for dinner and overnight at Tanswiss Lodge

The Tan-Swiss Lodge is located on the main Morogoro – Iringa road just 2 km west of Mikumi National Park. It offers affordable comfortable accommodation with king-sized beds and en-suite facilities, all with private terraces. The restaurant with its colorful murals serves a wide variety of delicious meals to suit all tastes. The hotel is set in pleasant gardens. It has a charm all of its own and the owner is a very welcoming host.

After breakfast, start your journey to Ruaha via Iringa across mountainous areas of Kitonga with incredible view. Guests will be able to visit Neema Craft Project, and have lunch there. After lunch continue drive to Ruaha National Park evening arrive and check in at Tandala Tented Camp for dinner and overnight on full board.

The Tandala camp is located just outside the park gate, which brings a direct benefit for the local communities. Ten tented bandas raised on stilts with wide verandas and large platforms. Most bandas overlook the Mdweka sand river which attracts seasonal wildlife. All tents are fully en suite and spacious. The camp has a large central bar, complete with a pool table, with old colonial style huge leather sofas and chairs, while the separate dining area offers outstanding French cuisine. A swimming pool acts as a magnet for elephant. The camp will also organize cultural visits to the local villages.

After breakfast, two full day game drives, with picnic lunches, dinner and overnight at Tandala Tented Camp, on full board

Ruaha National Park covering a conservation area of 10,300 square km in the south-west of the country, sprawls within and along the Great Rift Valley, covering a unique transition zone where the eastern and southern species of both fauna and flora meet against a dramatic topographical backdrop. This is also one of the few Tanzanian parks where sightings of the rarer antelopes, such as the Sable, the Roan and both lesser & Greater Kudu, are a probability rather than a possibility.

After breakfast, depart to Iringa, check in at Kisolanza Farm for overnight before proceeding to Morogoro. On full board basis

Kisolanza is a working farm with cattle, sheep, vegetables, tobacco and flowers. You are free to explore the farm. The Ghaui family has lived in East Africa for over 100 years and are happy to share their knowledge of the area with you.

Amongst the attractions are the tea estates and challenging golf course at Mufindi, Isimila Stone Age Site, local pottery and the attractive historical town of Iringa with its wonderful market selling Kihehe baskets, fruit and vegetables.

After breakfast, depart to Morogoro, check in at Mbuyuni Farm for overnight before proceeding to Dar es Salaam on the next day. On full board basis

Located four hours from Dar es Salaam Mbuyuni Farm Retreat offers a relaxing country experience. Our three bungalows, each for a family of up to four, are located in a quiet and peaceful setting and are surrounded by beautiful gardens. Two bungalows have kitchens for guests who prefer to cater for themselves. You are welcome to stroll around the farm and watch the activities or explore the farm’s forested areas which include many bird species (we have established three walking trails of varying lengths). Birdwatchers have identified over 230 species so far!

After breakfast, depart back to Dar with packed lunch. Drop of at the Airport or at the Hotel or home.
