Kitulo NP offers amazing wild flower photographic safari experience, away from the usual and traditional wildlife photographic holiday. Lake Malawi/Nyasa – Matema Beach is a great way to unwind after a hiking and walking the Kitulo Plateau. The lake offer nice beaches and places to swim. Matema, in the northern part of the lake is considered to be the best beach for people who like to relax swim along the lake shore. There are also caves and interesting waterfalls to see. Other activities include local canoeing ride down the river, and hiking on surrounding mountains.
ITINERARY
Day 1
ARRIVAL IN MBEYA AND TRANSFER TO HOTEL
Meet and greet on arrival in Mbeya, and transfer to Mbeya City Center, check in at Peace of Mind base on bed and breakfast
Mbeya is a city in southwest Tanzania. It sits at the base of soaring Loleza Peak, between the Mbeya and Poroto mountain ranges. On the town's outskirts is Lake Ngozi, a huge crater lake surrounded by dense forest rich in birdlife. Kitulo Plateau National Park, southeast of the city, is known for its colorful wild flowers. Farther south is Matema Beach, a resort town on the shores of the vast, fish-filled Lake Nyasa.
Day 2
DAY TRIP KITULO NATIONAL PARK, DRIVE BACK TO MBEYA
After breakfast, Day trip to Kitulo -Hiking/Guided nature walks and game drive to enjoy the nature and flower, afternoon return to Mbeya city, overnight at Peace of Mind

350 species of Vascular plants. Including 45 varieties of terrestrial orchid!
Day 3
DAY TRIP KITULO NATIONAL PARK, HEAD TO LAKE MALAWI/NYASA
Another half day tour in Kitulo National Park, with drop off at Matema Beach -Lake Malawi, check in at Matema Lake Shore base on half board
Day 4
DAY AT LEISURE AT MATEMA BEACH
Day at Matema Beach – (water sport to be booked
directly at the hotel). Overnight at Matema Lake Shore
Day 5
DAY AT LEISURE AT MATEMA BEACH

DRIVE BACK TO MBEYA DROP OFF SONGWE AIRPORT
