After breakfast, hiking the mountain with picnic lunch, swimming then hike down back to the vehicle. Afternoon visit of sugar cane plantation + village. Dinner and overnight at Udzungwa Falls Lodge
Udzungwa
Mountains National Park is a forested area that is home to several
species of primates, including the rare Iringa red colobus and the Sange
crested mangabey monkey. Fragments of the Eastern Arc Mountains rise from the
Udzungwa rainforest below and views from the peaks allow climbers to see the
Selous Game Reserve and the coast of the Indian Ocean. There are many hiking
trails in Udzungwa Mountains National Park that wind through various sections
of the park. The most popular route is the half-day ramble to Sanje Waterfall.
Mountain climbing is a popular activity that draws many visitors. Climbers can
follow the trail up to Mwanihana Peak, the second highest point in the park or
Luhombero Peak, the most challenging trail.
After breakfast, start your journey to Ruaha via Iringa across mountainous areas of Kitonga with incredible view. Guests will be able to visit Neema Craft Project, and have lunch there. After lunch continue drive to Ruaha National Park evening arrive and check in at Ruaha River Lodge for dinner and overnight on full board.
Neema Crafts, in partnership with the Mother's Union (UMAKI) of the Diocese of Ruaha, has built the first disabled staffed guest house in Africa. The guest house provides training and employment for deaf and disabled trainees. Profits are put towards the running costs of the Neema Therapy centre for disabled children, and will also help to make Neema's work with people with disabilities even more sustainable.
Overlooking the Great Ruaha River, the
lodge offers accommodation in bandas built from local stone and thatch. From
the seclusion of your veranda you can watch wild animals as they descend from
the hills. The dining bandas and bars at the Ruaha River Lodge are in elevated positions above the river,
combine comfort and coolness with unrivalled panoramic views.
After breakfast, two full day game drives, with picnic lunches, dinner and overnight at Ruaha Hill top, on full board
Ruaha National Park covering a conservation area of 10,300 square km in the south-west of the country, sprawls within and along the Great Rift Valley, covering a unique transition zone where the eastern and southern species of both fauna and flora meet against a dramatic topographical backdrop. This is also one of the few Tanzanian parks where sightings of the rarer antelopes, such as the Sable, the Roan and both lesser & Greater Kudu, are a probability rather than a possibility
After breakfast, Depart to Kitulo National Park, check in at Tanapa Bandas for overnight base on bed and breakfast.
After breakfast, Kitulo -Hiking/Guided nature walks and game drive to enjoy the nature and flower.
Nicknamed, Serengeti of Flowers, Kitulo National Park is the first National Park in the tropical Africa to be established primarily for its floristic importance. Host one of the greatest floral spectacle of the world with 350 species of Vascular plants. Including 45 varieties of terrestrial orchid!
After breakfast proceed to Mbeya with Lunch boxes, dinner and overnight Utengule Coffee Lodge.
Utengule Coffee Lodge offers guests an oasis of calm on the slopes of the mighty Mbeya range in Southern Tanzania, with spectacular views across the East African Rift Valley. In terraced gardens on an estate famous for its gourmet coffee, ‘The Lodge on the Coffee Estate’ has 16 rooms with en-suite facilities, the most luxurious have open glass frontages and large balconies overlooking the pool and the Rift Valley beyond.
Guests at the lodge can expect ‘a personal touch’ with home cooking using locally-grown ingredients and exceptional hospitality offered with a smile. You can swim, play squash or tennis, walk, take a guided trek, a tour of The Coffee Farm, read a book, or simply watch the variety of birdlife in the gardens and marvel at the gorgeous sunsets.
After breakfast,
depart to Morogoro via Iringa, you will be able to visit Neema Craft
Project, and have lunch there. Later continue to Morogoro, check in at Morogoro Hotel for overnight before proceeding to Dar es Salaam on the next day. On
bed and breakfast
After breakfast, depart back to Dar es Salaam. Hot lunch on the way arrive in
time drop off at the Feery to catch the fast boat at 16:00 connecting to
Zanzibar
