Day 1
ARRIVAL IN KIGALI

Kigali

Rwanda’s Capital And Biggest City Stretches Across Lush Undulating Hills Surrounded By Towering Mountains, The Largest Of Which Is Mount Kigali, Rising 1850 Metres Above Sea Level. Kigali Is The Country’s Financial, Commercial And Cultural Hub, Served By An International Airport And Featuring A Wide Range Of Accommodation Options. It Also Offers A Collection Of Restaurants And Points Of Interest, Including The Kigali Genocide Centre, An Atmospheric Market And Numerous Craft Shops. With Its Interesting Architecture, Busy Streets, Meandering Boulevards, And Green Hillsides, Kigali Is Said To Be One Of The Most Attractive Cities In Africa And Is Definitely Worth A Visit.

Welcome To Rwanda! Upon Arrival At Kigali International Airport (Kgl), You Will Be Met By Our Company Representative, Who Will Greet And Transfer To Your Hotel For Refreshment, Pre-Safari Briefing, Dinner And Overnight. KIGALI CITY TOUR AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI

Lake Mutanda

Situated In Uganda, Lake Mutanda Is A Small Freshwater Lake Sandwiched Between The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest And The Mgahinga Gorilla National Park In The Virunga Mountains. Set Against A Misty Mountain Backdrop, The Picturesque Lake Is Dotted With Islands, And The Surrounding Landscape Is Scattered With Wetland Ecosystems And Lakeside Forests Stretching Up The Mountain Slopes Which Provide A Safe Habitat For The Endangered Mountain Gorilla. Visitors Can Look Forward To Gorilla Tracking, Bird Watching, Lake Lounging, Volcano Hiking, And Paddling In A Traditional Dugout Canoe.

 

After Breakfast, You Get To Visit The Kigali Genocide Memorial Which Is The Final Resting Place For More Than 250,000 Victims Of The 1994 Genocide Against The Tutsi. Learn About Rwanda’s History From Pre-Colonial Times To The 1994 Genocide As Well As Other Genocides In The World.

Later Depart Rwanda On A Scenic Drive Through Thousands Of Hills, Coffee, Tea And Banana Plantations To The Border Post Foothills Of The Mt. Volcanoes And Into The Beautiful Pearl Of Africa – Uganda. You Will See A Great Country-Side Of Bamboo Forest And Have Great Views Of Landscape.

GORILLA TREKKING

Today Is The Big Day… Prepare Yourself For An Encounter With One Of Bwindi’s Gentle Giants: The Rare Mountain Gorilla. For Most People This Is The Absolute Highlight Of Their Tour In Uganda. You Will Be Required To Wake Up Early In The Morning Then Be Led To The Visitor’s Reception Center For A Briefing About The Park. You Are Allocated Guides Before Heading Into The Forest In Search Of Mountain Gorillas. Check In On Full Board Basis.

 

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Boasts Of Both Mountain Gorillas And Chimpanzees - The Only Forest In Africa Which Can Make This Claim. It Also Hosts Five Other Species Of Primate, 113 Species Of Mammals, Over 200 Butterflies And 360 Birds. Once The Gorillas Have Been Located, Your Group Will Be Allowed A Maximum Of One Hour With Them. Coming Face-To-Face With A Mountain Gorilla Is A Truly Humbling And Emotional Experience. This Is A Fantastic And Privileged Opportunity To Get Up Close And Personal With Uganda’s Very Own ‘Gorillas In The Mist’.

Day 4
BATWA PYGYMS AND TRANSFER TO ISHASHA

Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

Surrounded By Other Wonderful Parks In The Western Region Of Uganda, The Queen Elizabeth National Park Is Known For Its Rich Biodiversity, Wildlife And History. In The Southern Part Of The Park, The Remote Ishaha Sector Is Home To Tree-Climbing Lions Who Spend Long Lazy Days Dozing In The Pretty Fig Trees.  The Uganda Kob, A Type Of Antelope, Are Watched Carefully By The Tree Lions While Grazing The Plains   Around Lake Edward, Enjoy Fishing And More Game Watching - Make Sure To Look Out For Chimpanzees, Elephants, Crocodiles, And Perennial And Migratory Bird Species.

After Breakfast, You Will Get To Do The ‘Batwa’ (Pygmies) Cultural Trail. Doing This Trail Will Enable You Interact And Learn About The Interesting Lifestyle Of Uganda’s Unique Pygmies. The Batwa Pygmies Were Originally The Traditional Inhabitants Of Bwindi Forest That’s Currently Occupied By The National Park. The Trail Exposes You To The In Depth Hidden History Of The Batwa Pygmies Before The Year 1990 When They Evacuated The Forest Area That Had Become Protected And Conserved As A National Park.

The Batwa Trail Is Unique In A Way That It Show-Cases Authentic Culture Of The Original Inhabitants Of Bwindi Forest Who’s Lives Mainly Depended On The Natural Habitat. While Exploring The Trail, You Experience The Naturally Endowed Forest Through A Rare View Point Of The Local People.

TREE CLIMBING AND TRANSFER TO QUEEN FOR KAZINGA CHANNEL

After Breakfast, You’ll Indulge In A Morning And Evening Game Drive In Time To See The Sun Rise And See The Sun Set Over The Horizon Respectively.

If You’re Lucky, A Game Drive Through The Open Savannah Of Acacia On The Edge Of The Albertine Rift Valley Will Enable You View ‘Tree Climbing Lions’ And Other Wild Animals. You Will Search For All The Wildlife In The Park Including; Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Uganda Kob, Warthog, Etc. After Head For A Transfer To Queen Elisabeth Np For Kazinga Channel For A Boat Cruise To View The Water Dwelling Birds And Animals Such As The Pied Kingfisher, African Fish Eagle, Herons, Darters To Mention But A Few And See Animals Such As Buffalos, Crocodiles, Monitor Lizards, Elephants Wallowing At The Mad And Much More. After Boat Cruise, You Will Proceed For A Short Game Drive As You Find Your Way Back To Lodge For Dinner And Overnight At Twin Lake Safari Lodge On Full Board Basis

Day 6
GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Kibale Forest National Park, Situated In Western Uganda, Is Famous For Its High Density Of Primates, Breathtaking Crater Lakes, And Thick, Beautiful Jungle. Thirteen Primate Species Inhabit The Beautiful Tropical Forest, Including Red-Tailed Monkey, L’hoest's Monkey, Grey-Cheeked Mangabey, Red Colobus, And Black And White Colobus Monkeys. Visitors May Spot Some Of The 300 Bird Species And 250 Butterfly Species, And Buffalo, Forest Elephants, Leopards, Bushbucks, And Sitatungas Also Live In The Park But Are Generally Shy. The Area Is Decorated By Around 50 Enthralling Crater Lakes And Numerous Pristine Hiking Trails. Several Cultural Tours Are On Offer Which Delve Into The Rich Traditions Of The Batoro People, Giving Travellers A Chance To See Batoro Dancing, Singing And Traditional Healing Up Close.

Day 7
CHIMPANZEE TREKKING

This Morning At 08:00am, Your Chimpanzee Tracking Excursion Will Commence. Kibale Forest Boasts Of The Highest Number Of Primate Species In The World, Including Our Delightful Cousins- The Chimpanzees. At This Moment, In Uganda, There Are Approximately 4,950 Chimps Left In The Wild, Which Makes This Forest A Perfect And Best Place To Spot Chimpanzees In Africa! During The Excursion, Your Ranger Will Point Out The Other Species Living In The Forest, Including Birds, Flora And Fauna.

In The Afternoon You Embark On A Nature Excursion. Your Swamp Walk (1- 2 Hours) Will Take You Through Grassland And Some Beautiful Scenery. It Is Usual To Spot 3 Or 4 Different Primate Species During This Walk Through The Highlight Is Catching A Glimpse Of The Great Blue Turaco Bird! TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Murchison Falls National Park

Stretching From The Shores Of Lake Albert, Murchison Falls National Park Is Uganda's Largest National Park. The Nile River Flows Through The Middle Of The Park Creating The Impressive Murchison Falls Which Is The Park’s Major Attraction. The Landscape Features Dense Rainforest, Undulating Savannah And A Diversity Of Abundant Wildlife. Visitors Can Enjoy Prime Game-Viewing Along The Buligi Circuit. The Forests Are Home To Numerous Primates, Including Chimpanzees, And Near The River, Buffalo, Elephants And Rothschild-Giraffes Can Be Seen. Other Commonly Spotted Wildlife Include: Lions, Antelope, Waterbucks, Hippos And Crocodiles.

This Is The Best Time To Spot Wild Animals. A Drive Through The Park Brings You Eye-To-Eye With The African Animal Kingdom: Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards, Different Species Of Antelope And Many Tropical Birds. They Are All There In Murchison Falls National Park!

In The Afternoon, A 3hour Boat Cruise Along The Victoria Nile Will Lead You To The Base Of The Murchison Falls. Along The Way, You Will Be Able To View A Wide Variety Of Birds And Wildlife; Numerous Hippos, Elephants And Crocodiles, As Well As Breathtaking Scenery. Return To The Lodge For Dinner And Overnight

Day 10
TRANSFER TO KAMPALA

Entebbe

Situated On A Peninsula In Lake Victoria, The Former Seat Of Uganda’s Government, Entebbe Is Just A Short Drive From The Current Capital And Offers Plenty To Keep Visitors Amused. This Charming Town Features Tree-Lined Streets And Serves As An Excellent Base From Which To Explore The Surrounding Area. Tourists Can Look Forward To Spending Days On Beautiful Beaches Along The Banks Of Lake Victoria, Stroll Through The Fields And Forests Of The Magnificent Botanical Gardens, Or Pay A Visit To Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, A Haven For Country’s Orphaned Chimps.

 

This Morning At 7:00am, A Morning Trip To The Lake Albert Delta Is A Must For Any Bird And Wildlife Enthusiast.  The Victoria Nile Delta, A 20 Km Voyage Downstream From Paraa, Is Home To Rare Wetland Birds Including Shoebill And Papyrus Endemic Species.
